COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course presents the Christian Faith: its meaning, characteristics, essential constitutive dimensions and objective content.    

It describes the identity of Filipino Catholics whose culture is enriched by Faith. 

It underlines the Christ centricity of Christian Faith and discusses the essentials of the Faith as incultrated in one’s daily moral life and celebrated in prayer, liturgy and sacraments. 

The course will engage the students in actual integration with the poor, to whom the Good News is especially proclaimed.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the course and given simulated conditions/ situations, the students can:

1.Articulate the saving, liberating truths of the Catholic Faith;
2.Make the faith relevant to Filipino culture and daily experience;
3.Celebrate the faith in prayer, liturgy and sacraments in the Christian community;
4.Actively participate in pastoral care of the poor/ deprived sectors of the society.
